Hikrobot smart cameras from Absolute Gauge Technologies are compact, all-in-one machine vision systems for image acquisition, processing, storage and communication. Applications include defect detection; assembly verification; measurement and gauging; part tracking; robot guidance; presence detection; and sorting objects by color.

Several models are available. Artificial intelligence is built into each model. Engineers have free access to VisionTrain software for advanced model building.

With dimensions no larger than a matchbox (38 by 38 by 19 millimeters), the SC1000 is perfect for embedding into miniaturized machinery. It combines the capabilities of vision detection systems with the simplicity of a sensor. It is ideal for presence detection, rough dimensional measurements, and basic AI-based classification for error-proofing. Resolution ranges from 0.3 to 0.8 megapixels.

The SC2000 combines lighting, image acquisition, processing and communication in one compact design. Built-in algorithms are optimized for presence-absence detection, part number verification, counting and other error-proofing tasks. It has a manual focus with adaptable light sources for various inspection needs. Resolution ranges from 0.4 to 1.6 megapixels.

The SC3000 is for more advanced visual inspection tasks. It includes algorithms for counting, existence, location, logic, dimensional measurements, and recognition. It has deep learning capabilities for defect detection and classification. Deep learning for object detection aids with robot guidance. Focus adjustment is electric. Resolution ranges from 1.6 to 5 megapixels.

Building on the SC3000, the SC3000X is optimized for tight spaces and challenging layouts Its design includes flat and right-angle mounting options to fit seamlessly into existing systems. Triple lighting provides direct lighting for enhanced detail, polarization for glare reduction, and diffuse lighting for reflective surfaces. Deep learning provides for advanced OCR, code reading, object detection and classification with custom model training. Resolution ranges from 1.6 to 5 megapixels.

The SC6000 is the most sophisticated model. With 6T computing power and a modular design, it tackles the most complex visual tasks quickly and accurately. Advanced AI and deep learning enable engineers to customize OCR, defect detection and object recognition for robot guidance. The camera’s Vision Master algorithm platform is embedded with more than 140 algorithm modules, deep learning and Python scripting. When used for precision gauging and measurement, it achieves measurement tolerances down to 0.001 inch. It includes a touchscreen HMI and pre-installed Vision Master service pack for streamlined setup and secure functionality. Resolution ranges from 1.6 to 25 megapixels.

In addition to vision systems, Absolute Gauge Technologies supplies a variety of assembly and automation technologies, including DC electric nutrunners, servo presses, sensors, leak and flow testers, functional testers, electrical testers, and autonomous mobile robots.

For more information on vision systems and other automation components, click https://absolutegauge.com or visit the company’s booth at The ASSEMBLY Show South, which will be held April 16-17, 2025, at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN.

AGT is one of several suppliers of automation components exhibiting at the event. Besides test and inspection technology, you’ll find some 150 suppliers of adhesives, assembly machines, fastening tools, robotics, parts feeders, presses, test and inspection devices, and other technologies. The show is being held in conjunction with The Quality Show South and Adhesives in Action. For more information, visit www.assemblyshowsouth.com.
